Yes, you can use an existing WhatsApp number. However, before onboarding, you must first delete the WhatsApp account linked to that number. Launch the WhatsApp app on your phone. Navigate to "Settings" within the app. Tap on "Account". Select "Delete my account". Enter your full phone number in the required field. Tap "Delete my account" to confirm the process.

Note: WhatsApp chat backups cannot be imported into your TrioChat account.
There is no setup fee associated with using the WhatsApp API.
While regular WhatsApp usage is free for individuals, WhatsApp Business API has a conversation-based pricing model designed for businesses. Meta charges businesses based on the type and number of conversations they initiate or receive.

Here's how pricing works:
  • User-Initiated Conversations (UIC): When a customer messages you first. You have a 24-hour window to respond.
  • Business-Initiated Conversations (BIC): When you message a customer outside the 24-hour window using a pre-approved template.
  • Pricing Tiers: The cost varies depending on the customer's phone number country code (i.e., their region) and the category of message you're sending.
  • Conversation Categories: Marketing, Utility, Authentication, and Service – each has different pricing.

Free Tier: The first 1,000 user-initiated conversations per month are free. This is provided by Meta directly and resets monthly.

No, TrioChat is a pay-as-you-go service, and we do not have any cancellation fees. You can cancel your plan at any time. However, we do not provide any refunds on payments made for your existing subscription or credits.

No, a verified Facebook Business account is required to access the WhatsApp Business API. This is part of Meta's requirement to ensure that your business is legitimate and trustworthy. If you don’t have one, we can help you set it up.
No, unlike the regular WhatsApp app, the WhatsApp Business API works independently of your phone. Once your number is connected through TrioChat, all messaging is handled via servers and does not require the app to be active or your phone to stay connected.
If a user blocks your number, you won't be able to send them messages through the WhatsApp API. Frequent blocking may impact your Quality Rating, and Meta may restrict your messaging limits if too many users report or block your number.
The WhatsApp Business App is designed for small businesses and runs on mobile devices, while the WhatsApp Business API is designed for scaling communications allowing automation, CRM integration, bulk messaging, and team inboxes.
